Night Manager - Anantara the Marker Dublin Hotel

Night Management responsibilities:

  • Ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality are delivered consistently to our guests.
  • Ensure that areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained.
  • Accept a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and maintain flexibility within teams.
  • Comply with the hotel's cash handling procedures and ensure all team members are trained accordingly.

Specific Duties:

  • Ensure smooth running of the hotel during the night shift
  • Act as the manager on duty during the night shift
  • Handle late check ins and early check outs
  • Respond to guest complaints or emergencies
  • Provide high level customer service and ensure guest satisfaction, making decisions to resolve issues quickly
  • Perform or supervise the night audit process
  • Verify daily transactions, billing, and payments
  • Balance accounts and prepare financial reports
  • Ensure accuracy of reservations and guest folios
  • Monitor hotel security and ensure only authorised access to the premises
  • Handle emergencies (fire alarms, medical incidents, disturbances)
  • Conduct night patrols and enforce safety procedures
  • Supervise night shift employees (receptionists, porters, security, kitchen and accommodation)
  • Assign tasks and ensure staff performance standards are met
  • Demonstrate a positive, energetic, enthusiastic and professional attitude
  • Encourage the team towards hotel and individual objectives and aims
  • Show concern for team members and interact with them positively
  • Create a great work environment, treating each other with dignity, respect and embracing diversity
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and adapt approach to different people and situations
  • Communicate in a structured and effective manner with the team
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with employees and customers
  • Motivate, inspire and empower others to improve performance
  • Be fully knowledgeable and compliant with the Leading Hotels of the World LQA programme.

Must have at least one year of management experience and 2-3 years of hotel/front office experience.

Must currently have the right to work in Ireland / EU.

Must be available to work night shifts five days a week.
