We're looking for a sharp, proactive Server & Storage Engineer to own and optimise a complex, high-availability environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Own server infrastructure (Windows/Linux) across a multi-site environment
Deliver 2nd/3rd line support for complex incidents and escalation
Manage virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
Maintain backup, disaster recovery & business continuity strategies
Ensure system security, patching & compliance across all Servers
Build and optimise file, print & storage services
Support project rollouts, migrations & infrastructure upgrades
Troubleshoot deeply - from OS to hardware to network layers
Deep understanding of:
Strong server engineering experience (Windows Server + Linux)
Solid virtualisation expertise (VMware/Hyper-V)
Storage, backup & restore processes
Patch management & system security
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Proven ability to debug complex infrastructure issues end-to-end
Experience working in high-availability/mission-critical environments
Confident delivering 3rd line support and owning incidents
Experience with enterprise server hardware (maintenance, upgrades, replacements)
Familiarity with Azure/Microsoft ecosystem
Working knowledge of ITIL practices and service management
Experience in regulated environments (eg healthcare or similar)
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA or equivalent experience)
