Every year we support newly qualified teachers across Cardiff and South Wales as they take their first steps into the classroom.

Some want a permanent role straight away.

Others want to gain experience in different schools before committing.

That's where we can help.

Educators First work closely with primary schools across Cardiff who regularly welcome new teachers starting their careers.

Some teachers want a full-time role straight away.

Others want to build experience first.

We can support both.

Responsibilities and opportunities include:

  • Daily supply to build classroom experience
  • Short-term teaching roles
  • Long-term placements
  • Opportunities to move into permanent school positions

Many of the teachers we work with use supply to find the school that feels right for them.

Starting your career through supply can help you: Gain experience in different schools Build confidence managing different classes Develop your teaching style Create relationships with schools before committing to a permanent post For many teachers it becomes a great bridge between training and securing the right role.

To apply you should:

  • Hold (or be completing) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be eligible to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Have recent placement experience in a primary school
  • Be enthusiastic about starting your teaching career
