Job Description

Newly Qualified Solicitor - Property (Residential, Commercial & Agricultural)
Location: Newport Legal 500 Firm Full-Time Hybrid Potential

TSR Legal are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary law firm based in Newport, offering a rare and exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or final-seat trainee to join their specialist Real Estate team.

This is not your typical property law role.

Whether your background is in residential or commercial property, this role offers the chance to broaden your expertise into agricultural and rural property work-an increasingly sought-after niche area. You'll benefit from high-quality, hands-on training and exposure to a varied caseload from the outset.

Why this role stands out:

  • Be part of a Legal 500-recognised team with a strong regional and sector reputation

  • Handle an interesting mix of residential, commercial, and agricultural property matters

  • Work in a collaborative environment where training, mentoring, and development are prioritised

  • Genuine career progression and the chance to develop a niche specialism

  • Enjoy a firm culture that values well-being, balance, and long-term career fulfilment

What you'll be doing:

  • Running your own caseload (with support) including sales, purchases, refinances, transfers of part/equity, leases, and easements

  • Supporting senior lawyers on more complex property transactions

  • Working closely with clients and maintaining excellent standards of service and care

  • Contributing to business development and cross-referrals across departments

  • Supervising or delegating to junior team members or paralegals where appropriate

What we're looking for:

  • A Newly Qualified Solicitor (or trainee due to qualify in the next few months)

  • Experience in either residential or commercial conveyancing

  • A keen interest in building expertise in agricultural and rural property law

  • A commercially-minded and proactive attitude

  • A team player who values client relationships and quality of service

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to move away from volume work and instead focus on complex, high-value transactions in a supportive, well-structured environment.
