Job Description
Vacancy Overview - Asset Integrity Engineer

AVT Reliability's Asset Integrity Division provides a diverse range of engineering technical services to many blue chip companies across the UK and internationally, including oil and gas, chemical, waste to heat recovery, and nuclear.

The successful applicant will join the Asset Integrity Division delivering a range of consultancy, products and services aimed at assessing and optimising the reliability of structural/mechanical assets, such as machines, machine baseplates, support structures, pipework, buildings, civil structures etc. to improve reliability and prevent premature failures.

Traditionally such services are focused on avoiding the following conditions:

  • High operational vibration
  • Fatigue damage caused by high operational stress (cracking)
  • Structural resonance issues
  • Design issues due to lack of structural stiffness
  • Failure investigation and prevention
  • Quantification of operational loads (through on site measurements)

Projects involve visiting client sites to perform technical services, understand root causes of reliability problems, and analyse data using a wide range of instrumentation and software.

Working in a small team, you will have control over all stages of projects from enquiry to delivery.
