Network Security Engineer

I am currently working with an Insurance client in London who is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team. The aim of this role is to maintain network and security standards, provide support to the production environment, and ensure the proper implementation and enforcement of network and security policies across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize network performance, resolving issues promptly to maintain security and functionality.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and annual penetration tests, leading remediation efforts and related projects.
• Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.

Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of firewalls, SD-WAN technology, Viptela, Cisco Umbrella, and strong routing & switching experience.
• Hands-on experience with vendors and network hardware/software such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.
• Strong technical knowledge of security network devices and other security networking hardware/software tools.
