Network Engineer/Anderlecht/French or Dutch speaking/620 Euros per day

Freelance opportunity for a Network Engineer to join a leading Financial institution based in Anderlecht.

Fluent in one local language is mandatory

50% remote working

Duties:

• Take Ownership of complex network designs and operational topics
• Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure
• Serve as a technical expert and mentor for the network team
• Work closely with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams
• Ensure network solutions meet availability, performance, security, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to projects shaping the clients modern, future-proof infrastructure

Skills and experience:

• Extensive experience with network architecture, routing & switching, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi
• Expertise in Firewall and security solutions (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid network architectures
• Experience with network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, VLANs)
• Experience implementing and managing Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks andsolutions.
• Hands-on experience with load balancers and Proxy solutions
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IP Addressing
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery designs
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for financial institutions
• Understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies
