Network Engineer

Network Engineer - £400/day via umbrella company - Short-term Assignment - Onsite - East Kilbride - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a short-term assignment focused on configuring and optimising Meraki MX Firewalls. This is an excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer who enjoys hands-on Firewall configuration, network security, and delivering stable connectivity in a multi-site environment.

Your responsibilities as the Network Engineer:

• Configure, optimise, and support Meraki MX Firewalls across multiple locations
• Implement secure network configurations following industry best practices
• Troubleshoot Firewall, VPN, and routing issues to reduce downtime
• Monitor Firewall performance and make proactive improvements
• Create and maintain documentation for Firewall rules and network changes
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver secure and stable network solutions
• Provide specialist expertise as a Network Engineer in Firewall security and configuration

As a successful Network Engineer, you will have:

• Strong experience working as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments
• Hands-on knowledge of Meraki MX Firewalls and the Meraki dashboard
• Solid understanding of network security principles and Firewall policy configuration
• Good experience with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and site-to-site connectivity
• Ability to troubleshoot multi-site network environments
• Clear communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues to stakeholders
