About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Response Officer to provide a high-quality housing management service within a busy neighbourhood team. This role will involve carrying out the full range of tenancy management duties, supporting residents, and ensuring neighbourhoods are safe, sustainable, and well-managed.
This is a fully office and field-based position, with time split between the office and resident visits. There is no home working available with this assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all tenancy service duties expected of a Housing Officer.
- Manage a designated patch and act as a key point of contact for residents.
- Carry out tenancy visits, including new tenancy, routine, and tenancy sustainment visits.
- Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, and neighbourhood issues.
- Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access appropriate services.
- Ensure estates and neighbourhoods are maintained to a high standard through regular inspections.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to resolve resident concerns.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage workloads through the organisation's CRM system.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Attend resident meetings and undertake community engagement activities as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer, or similar housing management role.
- Strong knowledge of tenancy management and housing services.
- Experience managing caseloads and working to performance targets.
- Confident carrying out home visits and managing sensitive customer situations.
- Proficient in the use of IT systems, with the ability to effectively manage tasks through a CRM platform.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
