Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Position Summary

Shackleton Advisers is seeking an experienced, strategic, execution focused and people leader to oversee and drive operational performance across the operations function. This role will play a critical part in supporting the overall business, ensuring service excellence for customers, driving efficiency and supporting scalable growth nationwide. Reporting directly to the COO, the National Head of Operations will be a key member of the operations leadership team, responsible for translating strategy into action and building high performing operational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and lead the national operational strategy in alignment with Shackleton Advisers' business goals and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to shape long term operational plans and priorities.
Operational Oversight
  • Oversee day to day operations across all regions, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Implement and optimise operational systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor effectiveness and drive accountability.
Team and Culture Management
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the national operations team, building a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster cross functional collaboration and bring all offices on the journey.
Client Delivery and Service Excellence
  • Ensure operational readiness to support consistent, high quality client delivery.
  • Design and monitor service delivery models that balance cost, quality, and scalability.
Risk, Compliance and Governance
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Lead risk management initiatives and operational audits as needed.
Technology and Innovation
  • Identify and implement technologies to automate and improve operational efficiency.
  • Champion innovation and agility across operational functions.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in senior operational leadership roles, ideally within professional services, consultancy, or financial services sectors.
  • Strong track record in building scalable operational models in multi office or national environments.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business process optimisation, and organisational transformation.
  • Experience in managing cross functional teams and influencing executive level stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
