Our Sales team love building relationships, connecting with customers to sell our much-loved brands in new and vibrant markets where they can thrive. They help sell our iconic brands across 180 countries every year.

About the role-

This role is centered on leading the commercial performance for a strategic national customer, focusing on growth and sustainable profit delivery through rigorous management practices. It requires fostering strong relationships, driving connectivity across sales teams, and ensuring excellence in program activation while managing customer data effectively.

Commercial Performance: Unlock growth and improve sustainable profit by implementing effective management strategies.

Customer Relationship: Build strong partnerships through cross-functional collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Sales Connectivity: Enhance sales outflows and market share by connecting field sales teams nationally with customer teams.

Program Activation: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in channel program activation for successful outcomes.

Process Improvement: Maintain back-office stability and continuously seek improvements across accounts and teams.

Data Management: Hold accountability for robustly managing all customer data to support relationships.

Leadership Role: Serve as a leader within the sales organization and an ambassador for Diageo's channels and brands.

Key outcomes:

  • Deliver annual financial, market share & executional objectives in full.
  • Develop and implement a collaborative Joint Business Plan with focus on 100% implementation to improve return on investment.
  • Successfully activate commercial & brand building growth drivers based on analysis of customer strategy and consumer behaviors.
  • Act as a leader within the wider Sales team; foster a culture of coaching that enhances commercial capability standards.
  • Achieve exceptional results through effective cross functional collaboration with multiple resources supporting great customer relationships.
  • Build deep trust with customers to ensure Diageo is their supplier of choice by delivering brilliant service at every touch point.

Key Skills required:

  • Minimum of 3 years at National account level with broader cross functional experience encouraged:
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities and conflict resolution expertise
  • Robust commercial understanding: P&L literacy, Highly developed numerical/analytical skills, Clear analytical rigor with commercial approach
  • High learning agility coupled with commercial curiosity; proven track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior collaborators; deliver change across different levels.
  • Pragmatic desire to leverage team strengths for bigger outcomes focusing on long range company delivery.
