Job Description

Sing Education is recruiting music teachers for Nursery to Year 6 in Scarborough, United Kingdom. The role involves delivering our signature singing led, whole class curriculum, conducting singing assemblies, choirs and clubs, and covering short term as well as long term teaching assignments.

Responsibilities

• Cover short term and long term teaching assignments Monday Friday during term time, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Deliver cover lesson plans in line with Sing Education's curriculum.
• Lead singing assemblies, choirs and clubs as required.
• Provide a brief handover to the Sing Education admin team after each cover day.
• Engage in comprehensive team training and induction, including online and in person sessions.

Qualifications

• Degree in music or a related field (e.g., musical theatre, music education).
• Flexibility to accept assignments on short notice (informed by 7:30 a.m. or the afternoon before, wherever possible).
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, facilitated by Sing Education.

Benefits & Rates

• Club Day: £160 per day for any assignment that includes a before or after school club (starting at 7:30 a.m. or finishing at 4:30 p.m.).
• Winter Bonus Scheme: £25 bonus per day for same day shifts accepted during November to February.
