Noble Recruiting are delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a Multiskilled Engineer on a temporary to permanent basis in Basildon. This Multiskilled Engineer job in Basildon is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who is confident carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance within a busy production environment. The role will focus on improving machine reliability, reducing downtime and supporting production efficiency across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
• Supporting machine reliability, availability and production capacity
• Completing machine adjustments and changeovers to support efficient production
• Helping to minimise downtime across the site
• Working with third-party suppliers to ensure maintenance activities are completed in line with agreed SLAs
• Understanding and managing the balance between external engineering support and in-house maintenance activity
• Working closely with production teams to identify process improvements
• Providing technical support to help improve productivity and performance

The successful Multiskilled Engineer will need

• Previous experience in a similar Multiskilled Engineer role
• Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
• Knowledge of plant machinery and production equipment
• Experience supporting machine changeovers and adjustments
• The ability to work closely with production and maintenance teams
• A proactive and problem-solving approach
• Good communication skills and a reliable attitude
