Job Description
The role:Planned and Reactive MaintenanceUndertake maintenance within the residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and report any hazards identified to the relevant ManagerCarry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front line response for all plumbing and mechanical workCarry out PPM in accordance with the scheduleMaintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory complianceLiaise with specialist sub-contractorsStatutory TestingCarry out statutory testing including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, fire door testing and others, as requiredHealth and SafetyReport any Health and Safety issues relating to the residences ensuring all information is passed to the relevant personsOtherAssist colleagues in other trades and locations as and when the need arisesUndertake training as requiredParticipate in an on call rota, when requiredBe prepared to work additional hours, as and when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekendsOther duties as commensurate with the postOffers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and you may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS.In return, we are offering a busy and interesting environment to work in with a competitive salary and a great benefits package which includes 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance, enhanced family leave policy, training, two paid volunteering or personal development days and cycle to work scheme.
