Your new company
You'll be joining an established social housing provider responsible for maintaining a large portfolio of residential properties. They are looking to strengthen their maintenance team with an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to support ongoing repairs, planned works and property improvements.
Your new role
As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you'll carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties. You'll be responsible for identifying issues, completing repairs efficiently and ensuring properties are left to a high standard.Typical duties may include:
- Joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, skirting and kitchen units
- Basic plumbing and bathroom repairs
- Kitchen and bathroom maintenance
- Patch plastering and making good
- Wall and floor tiling
- Basic painting and decorating
- General property repairs and maintenance
- Working effectively in occupied homes while providing a professional service to tenants
What you'll need to succeed
You'll ideally have previous experience working within social housing, council housing or domestic property maintenance, with the ability to complete a variety of repairs without requiring additional trades.You'll also need:
- Strong experience across multiple trades
- Previous responsive repairs and maintenance experience
- Experience working within occupied and void properties
- Full UK driving licence
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and complete jobs to a high standard
