We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac Wellington Sand and Gravel Quarry in Hereford. The role is accessible from Worcester, Leominster, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ledbury, Ludlow, Malvern, Craven Arms, Kidderminster, Tenbury Wells, Bewdley, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Cinderford and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities- All operational activities within a manufacturing environment
- Meet daily production target requirements
- Support all site KPIs, including quality, health and safety, and site housekeeping
- Assist the site fitter with basic operator lead maintenance
- Maintain housekeeping and deliver excellent site standards
- Work with a team focused on great customer service, providing good quality material and on time deliveries to a varied customer base
- Carry out inspections on the plant and perform housekeeping tasks and basic daily maintenance
- Ensure stocks are replenished and maintained at good levels
- Previous plant operational experience
- Flexible and willing to demonstrate a can do attitude
- Possess initiative and the ability to think independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Team player and effective communicator
- Ideally hold a forklift truck and loading shovel licence (training will be provided)
- Good attitude towards health and safety and environmental protection
- Hardworking and willing to learn new skills
