Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

This is a permanent position working on double days shift (7:00am-3:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm) paying circa 45k per annum + £280 weekend callout payment. On call 1 weekend in 6 & usually only phone calls required when on call. You will be part of a small maintenance team and the position is based in the Holywell area, commutable from the South Wirral, Deeside, Wrexham, Chester areas.

Required Experience and Skills

• Apprentice trained in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, ideally HNC level.
• Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and fault finding on PLC-controlled systems
• Working with pneumatics, pumps, tanks, conveyors and associated plant
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' maintenance experience (minimum)
  
• Experience within manufacturing or process environments
• 18th Edition Electrical qualification desirable
• Strong fault-finding skills (electrical and/or mechanical)
• Training and development can be provided
