Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Our client, based near Bridlington, is expanding production within their busy FMCG operation and is seeking experienced Engineers to support and drive efficiency within the business. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and safety of electrical systems and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faults on production lines, control panels, motors, PLCs, sensors, and power systems.
• Ensure electrical work complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimise performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update documentation.
• Participate in equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Contribute to asset care plans and risk assessments.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and automated systems.
• Experience with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley), HMIs, and variable speed drives.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Understanding of HACCP and GMP is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Benefits, working hours, and pay

• Less than half the year (182 days) work.
