The RoleA Multi-Skilled Engineer is required to support both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy production facility. You will work as part of a small on-shift engineering team responsible for keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

This position is ideal for someone who has worked in print, packaging, industrial manufacturing or a factory setting, where reliability and rapid fault resolution are crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to optimise equipment performance.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs.
• Maintain and support a range of production machinery, which may include:
  • Print presses
  • Binding or finishing equipment
  • Automated conveyors
  • Packaging or handling systems
• Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment or upgrades.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety and quality standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in print, manufacturing, or factory-based engineering.
• Multi-skilled background with strong mechanical and electrical competencies.
• Ability to fault-find on complex systems, including automated machinery.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, time-critical production environment.
• Strong communication skills and capable of working independently on shift.
• Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused mindset.
