Multi Skilled Engineer - 14 Cornhill

Overview

Vertex are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer (DAY) to cover 14 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3NR. Location/Division: 14 Cornhill. Closing Date: 17/10/2025. Reporting to the Contract Manager you will be working within the engineering team and providing all round engineering support maintaining the buildings infrastructures. You will have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice. A flexible approach to work is essential, as essential maintenance may need to be carried outside of normal hours.

Hours: The hours of work average 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, typically 8:00am-5:00pm and 09:00am-6:00pm, with changes each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Ensure all PPM tasks are carried out on time.
• Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service to all M&E services on site.
• Issue permits in accordance to Vertex policy.
• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance.
• Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.
• Carry out modifications and installations when required.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers.
• Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard.
• Liaise with tenants, building manager.

Cross Business Responsibilities

• Ensure full support is provided to all departments within Vertex when required.
• Ensure full team cooperation in Vertex company initiatives and events.
