Multi drop delivery driver

Aurivo is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, garden centres, livestock marketing as well as sports nutrition. It employs over 700 people directly and provides jobs for many others in transport, distribution and services.

The suitable person will be responsible for selling, delivering, merchandising, and reconciling stock while providing strong customer service and will report directly to the Area Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

• Sell and deliver product to all customers in the area covered by your sales route.
• Merchandise goods where appropriate.
• Complete all documentation related to sales invoices, returns documentation, etc. as instructed by your Manager.
• Handle all transactions.
• Assume full responsibility and accountability for all products carried on the vehicle or sold on the route, and reconcile stocks and sales at the end of each day.
• Report on sales trends and competitor activity; canvass new business and advise on any particular customer or debtor problems.
• Maintain strong customer focus and strive to increase sales, including involvement in promotions as and when required.
• Adhere to all administrative procedures relative to the position of Van Sales.
• Co operate with any technological changes, whether in administrative procedures, driving laws, or any other relevant information concerning daily mileage, fuel consumption, etc.

Candidate Profile

• Flexible and adaptable.
• Van will be provided and a full, clean C driving licence is necessary.
• Any experience in the retail and grocery industry, van sales, or multi drop deliveries would be very helpful but is not essential.
• Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong team ethic.
• Innovative mindset, with a high attention to detail.
