Mud Logging Technician

We are looking for a Mud Engineer for a summer replacement Horizontal Directional Drilling project (2 months) starting asap in Bilbao, Spain!

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage drilling fluid systems
• Monitor and adjust mud properties (viscosity, density, pH, rheology) to optimize drilling performance.
• Ensure proper mud mixing and treatment to maintain borehole stability in long crossings
• Adjust cutting parameters based on ground layers and formations.
• Monitor drilling parameters and proactively manage downhole issues.
• Collaborate closely with drillers and site supervisors to adapt mud formulations in real-time.
• Maintain accurate records of mud properties and performance metrics.

For this job, you need to have:

• Right to work in the European Union (Mandatory);
• Good English level (minimum B2);
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluids (mixing properties, and maintenance);
• Previous experience in the Horizontal Directional Drilling technologies in similar tasks.
• A1 Certificate or willing to obtain it in short-notice
• Self-employed documents or Company Registration
