Job Description

Shrewsbury Our client, a reputable and well-established automotive group, is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their professional vehicle service centre in Shrewsbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester to develop their career within a supportive environment, with a focus solely on MOT testing (Class 4 & 7) compliance and safety standards.

The position of MOT Tester is pivotal to ensuring vehicle safety and adherence to legal standards.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday plus 1-in-2 Saturdays, with a day off in the week when working Saturday

Duties
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations for Class 4 and 7 vehicles
  • Record results accurately and complete all necessary documentation promptly
  • Identify any repair or maintenance needs and advise customers accordingly
  • Ensure all work is completed to legal safety standards and within compliance guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
  • Support other workshop functions as required
Requirements
  • Valid MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Full UK driving licence
Preferred
  • Previous experience working as an MOT Tester in an Independent Garage or Main Dealer environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
