Hiring for a reputed client, Brook Street is supporting the Ministry of Justice with an exciting Administrative Officer opportunity in Durham. It's a chance to build valuable Public Sector experience with full training provided and a clear progression after you've settled into the role.
What you'll be doing:- Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
- Producing court documents and drafting standard letters and documents
- Creating and updating records on internal systems, ensuring accuracy
- Carrying out data input to support day-to-day processes
- Clerking Civil and Family Courts, tribunals and hearings
- Assisting court users with general queries in a calm, professional manner
- Confidence working in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- Strong administrative skills with a careful, accurate approach to documentation
- Comfort using internal systems and maintaining up-to-date records
- Clear communication skills, with the empathy to support court users with questions
- A responsible attitude towards confidentiality and processes
- Full time, site based: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (37 hours per week)
- Pay: £12.86 per hour, rising to £13.25 per hour after 12 weeks in the assignment
- Assignment length: ASAP start until 31/03/2027
- Basic DBS clearance required (to be applied for by Brook Street upon successful application)
- If you've spent 6 months or longer outside the UK in the last 3 years, an additional overseas police check may be required (candidate responsibility)
