Experienced mobile plant engineer required in the Ashford Common (Surrey) area.
Basic salary up to £45,000 per annum - plus quarterly bonuses after the probationary period. Company van included - not for personal use.
This role is mainly based at a utility site in Ashford Common, where engineers report to the site each day around 7am. Occasionally, the engineer may need to cover other sites (e.g., Hampton) with prior notice. Hours are 47.5 per week, including door-to-door travel time (Monday to Friday). The working hours start when you leave home, not just upon arrival at the site.
As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and a high standard of servicing and repairs on customer sites. All jobs are pre-booked via the Head Office team, and job sheets and bookings are communicated via tablet.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality servicing and maintenance on a variety of assets including Manitou and other smaller equipment.
- Ensure excellent customer service at each client site.
- Cover additional sites as required, providing notice beforehand.
- Travel to sites as part of the 47.5-hour work week.
- Strong plant experience with pumps, diggers, dumpers, skimmers, trailers, etc.
- LOLER trained is ideal; training can be provided.
- Must bring own tools; specialist tooling (e.g., torque wrench, testing gauges) can be supplied if needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel between sites and work as a lone worker with support from a people-focused business.
- Company van provided, not for personal use.
