Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Help us make a difference as a Mobile Service Engineer covering Staffordshire and surrounding areas.
A quick look at the role.To optimise the performance and maintenance of electrical/mechanical plant and equipment used to extract and deliver landfill gas for utilisation and or disposal.
Van and fuel card will be supplied. Personal use of the vehicle is included.
The days of work are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
There will also be an on call rota in which the Service Engineer will need to be available to offer assistance remotely or in person (where applicable).
Your core responsibilities.- Lead and oversee contractors, ensuring efficient deployment and up to date service records
- Review plant performance and drive continuous improvement
- Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and restore operations quickly
- Mentor and coach gas technicians on specialist gas handling equipment
- Ensure compliance with DSEAR and UK and EU machinery regulations, flag upgrade requirements
- Support maintenance of HV and LV electrical systems for power generation, liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Oversee maintenance and repair of flare and gas plant equipment, ensuring full compliance
- Carry out flare servicing while managing specialist contractors
- NVQ/HNC or similar engineering qualification.
- Electrically bias is advantageous.
- Self-disciplined to establish own work program and pattern.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
- UK driving license.
