Job Description

My client is seeking a skilled Mobile Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for the upkeep and reliability of pumping systems and associated mechanical equipment.

The role involves delivering preventative maintenance, responding to reactive and corrective maintenance needs, and carrying out fault finding and investigations on mechanical systems.

Proven industrial mechanical maintenance experience is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance on pumping systems and mechanical equipment
  • Attend to reactive and corrective maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently
  • Conduct fault finding and investigations, documenting findings as required
  • Perform repairs, replacements, and calibrations on pumps and related equipment
  • Assist operational teams with troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical problems
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies
Certifications & Standards
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

You will be required to complete repairs, replacements, and calibrations on pumps and equipment as necessary, while supporting operational staff in resolving complex mechanical issues. A strong commitment to health and safety is essential, ensuring compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 at all times. This mobile role requires flexibility and the ability to work across various sites.

Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proven industrial mechanical maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and industrial maintenance practices
  • Competent fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to carry out repairs, replacements, and calibrations on mechanical equipment
  • Commitment to health and safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Software/Tools
  • Basic use of maintenance management systems (desirable)
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and calibration tools

This is a permanent position paying up to 46k.
