About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile HGV Trailer Technician to join our growing team. In this field-based role, you'll carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trailers and associated equipment (including tail lifts and moving decks), ensuring work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
You'll be working independently across a varied patch in the Midlands, solving problems on the go with support from a friendly, experienced team.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site trailer inspections and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Attend on-site breakdowns where required
Use diagnostic tools and interpret technical schematics
Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation
Work independently or collaboratively to diagnose and resolve faults
What You'll Need
Minimum 3 years' experience in HGV/trailer maintenance
Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Full UK driving licence
Excellent mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills
Familiarity with the DVSA Inspection Manual
Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)
IRTEC accreditation
Experience with EBS systems (Wabco, Haldex, Knorr-Bremse)
Knowledge of axle systems (BPW, SAF, Jost)
Experience with tail lifts, moving decks, and welding/fabrication
