Mobile HGV Technician

Location: Bedford and Surrounding Areas

Salary: £50,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card

Hours: Straight Day Shift + Overtime & Callouts Available

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to cover Bedford and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable day shift role with excellent earning potential through plentiful overtime and callouts.

You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVs at customer sites and roadside locations, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and back on the road as quickly as possible.

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Perform roadside breakdown assistance and emergency repairs
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with DVSA standards
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Participate in callout rota (additional pay provided)

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently in a mobile role
• Good communication and customer service skills

• £50,000 basic salary
