Purpose of Role

Vinci Facilities, working in partnership with Shell, is seeking experienced and electrically qualified Multi-Skilled Engineers to support the maintenance and operation of high-powered EV charging infrastructure across the UK. This is a mobile role offering full OEM training on state-of-the-art 350kW electric vehicle charging systems, a competitive salary, and excellent work-life balance with paid travel time and structured on-call support.

Job Description

As part of Vinci's dedicated Shell maintenance team, you'll play a key role in keeping Shell's growing EV charging network safe, reliable, and operational. The role involves a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and minor fabric and facilities tasks at Shell forecourts. You'll receive full OEM training across multiple EV charger platforms and will shadow experienced engineers before working independently. This is an ideal opportunity for an electrically qualified mobile engineer who wants to develop new skills in a rapidly growing sector, working with cutting-edge high-voltage equipment and supported by a leading facilities management business.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on Shell's large-capacity (350kW) EV charging units.
  • Undertake general maintenance and minor repair works on Shell forecourt sites (e.g., lighting, door handles, small fixtures).
  • Participate in manufacturer-led and in-house EV charger training programs (UK and Italy).
  • Carry out electrical testing, fault-finding, and safety checks in line with Vinci and Shell standards.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting of maintenance tasks and completed work.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 6), attending breakdowns as required.
  • Travel across your allocated region (door-to-door pay included).
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds 2361 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent).
  • Ideally 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent experience.
  • Proven background as a mobile engineer in an FM or maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and high-voltage systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use).
  • Flexible to travel up to 150 miles per day within allocated region.
  • Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
What We Offer

In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.
