Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Architect with strong end-to-end experience across ERP, Finance & Operations, Supply Chain and CRM. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering scalable Dynamics 365 solutions that align technology with business strategy and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, with the ability to work across Finance & Operations, Supply Chain Management and Customer Engagement/CRM, designing integrated solutions across the full enterprise landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions across ERP and CRM.
  • Define enterprise and solution architecture covering Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Engagement.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure and sustainable D365 solutions.
  • Provide architectural leadership across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
  • Design and oversee integration between D365 ERP, CRM and wider enterprise applications.
  • Develop solution architectures covering APIs, Middleware, data flows, integrations and third-party platforms.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners and functional teams to understand processes and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Provide technical governance and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Assess existing D365 environments and recommend improvements, rationalisation and modernisation opportunities.
  • Support decisions around configuration versus customisation, ensuring solutions follow Microsoft best practice.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance to development, functional and integration teams.
  • Consider security, data, performance, scalability, resilience and supportability throughout the architecture life cycle.
  • Support D365 transformation, migration and implementation programmes from strategy through to delivery.

Essential Experience

  • Strong commercial experience as a Dynamics 365 Architect/Solution Architect/Technical Architect.
  • Extensive experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Operations processes, including Finance, Procurement, Order Management and Supply Chain.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM/Customer Engagement.
  • Proven experience designing end-to-end ERP and CRM architectures.
  • Experience integrating D365 with other enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, web services, integration patterns and Middleware.
  • Experience working across large-scale transformation or ERP programmes.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic architecture and detailed solution-design level.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
  • Experience with Azure integration and cloud services.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform, Power Automate and Dataverse.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 migrations and Legacy ERP modernisation.
  • Experience within complex, multi-country or multi-entity organisations.
  • Understanding of data architecture, master data and enterprise integration.
  • Experience working within formal architecture governance and design authority environments.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a broad, enterprise-minded Dynamics 365 Architect rather than someone focused on a single module. They will combine deep D365 Finance & Operations expertise with strong knowledge of Supply Chain and CRM, and have a proven ability to design integrated solutions across the wider enterprise technology landscape.

They should be comfortable engaging with senior business stakeholders while also providing sufficient technical depth to challenge designs, make architectural decisions and guide delivery teams.
