Microbiology Analyst

Our client is seeking a Microbiology Analyst to join their laboratory team in Westport, Co. Mayo.

Responsibilities:

• Perform microbiological testing, including environmental monitoring, water sampling, bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, growth promotion and in-process testing.
• Support release and stability testing of raw materials, commercial, clinical and development batches.
• Prepare and review laboratory documentation, SOPs, protocols, investigations and reports.
• Trend microbiological results and support investigations, deviations and CAPAs.
• Support equipment qualification and microbiological method validation.
• Ensure all activities comply with cGMP, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical or aseptic processing.
• Knowledge of microbiology, aseptic techniques and cGMP.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and documentation practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a regulated environment and meet testing deadlines.
