We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a renowned fine dining restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with Michelin-starred property experience to take charge of a high end kitchen, delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a prestigious setting.
About the Role:As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. You will lead a skilled team, develop seasonal menus, manage stock and food costs, and maintain a creative, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will also work closely with front of house staff to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the kitchen team, overseeing all aspects of service to ensure smooth operations
- Develop and execute innovative, seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Maintain consistently high standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure adherence to kitchen hygiene, food safety, and health & safety regulations
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control to optimise profitability
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and growth focused environment
- Work closely with front of house to ensure a cohesive, exceptional guest experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, with a background in Michelin starred properties
- A passion for creating high quality, innovative dishes with an emphasis on presentation
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Experience in stock management, cost control, and kitchen profitability
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with Sundays and Mondays off
- €50,000 per year
- Two days off per week (Sundays and Mondays)
