Job Title - Metal Fabricator Job Locations - Thurles, Co. Tipperary Salary - €35K - €50K (Dependent on Experience) About the Role:

Our client who is based in Co. Limerick have a requirement for a Metal Fabricator to join their expanding team in their site in Thurles Co. Tipperary.

A Metal Fabricator interprets engineering designs to cut, shape, and join metals (such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium) using workshop machinery and welding techniques.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and analyse technical drawings, CAD layouts, and specifications to plan build sequences.
• Material Preparation & Cutting: Mark out, measure, and cut metal sheets, plates, and structural sections using guillotines, bandsaws, plasma torches, or laser cutters.

• Joining & Welding: Assemble parts and join them using methods such as MIG, TIG, MAG, or Manual Metal Arc (MMA/Stick) welding, or mechanical fasteners like bolts and rivets
• Quality Control & Inspection: Check finished components and welds against dimensional tolerances and visual/NDE examination standards
• Site or Workshop Work: Perform fabrication in a factory/workshop setting or install finished metalwork on active construction sites
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain tools, operate machinery safely, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and follow health and safety regulations.

Essential Criteria:

• Successfully completed their SOLAS/ FAS metal fabrication apprenticeship
• Several years' experience in the metal fabrication/site installation industry;
• A current safe pass card;
• A current manual handling training certificate.
• Excellent Verbal & Non-Verbal Communication skills.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of individuals.
