A nurturing and forward-thinking SEN and SEMH school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This full-time role involves working with children and young people who present with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma-related needs, and behavioural challenges.
This Mental Health Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or Criminology, or individuals looking to gain practical experience before progressing into careers in Clinical Psychology, Therapy, Social Work, or Teaching.

- Salary: £89-£100 per day
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Start Date: ASAP
As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support
- Help students develop emotional regulation strategies
- Support behaviour management using therapeutic approaches
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
