Job Description
Mental Health Practitioner Trainee (ASC/LD)

We are recruiting a compassionate ASC/LD (Autism Spectrum Condition/Learning Disabilities) Practitioner Trainee to join our Mental Health Support Team at West Central London Mind. In this role, you will train to deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions to support individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities, addressing their unique emotional and mental health needs. Working under supervision, you will collaborate with families, carers, and professionals in community settings, developing specialist skills through structured training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about empowering individuals with ASC/LD to thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Main duties of the job
  • Deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Learning Disabilities (LD), addressing their unique mental health and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with families, carers and schools to promote wellbeing and independence for clients in West Central London.
  • Participate in structured training and supervision to develop specialist skills in supporting individuals with ASC/LD.
  • Use adapted therapeutic approaches to help clients manage challenges such as anxiety, social difficulties, or emotional regulation.
  • Contribute to a team approach at West Central London Mind, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for clients.
