Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:Reporting to the Melt Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for the supervision of production on site, ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer demands.Role Responsibilities:This role entails but is not limited to:-Guarantee a safe working environmentEnsure all production processes conform to current quality standardsManufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demandStrive to improve production processesFacilitate root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actionsDaily organisation of Melt OperatorsComplete performance reviews to improve team performance and flexibilityMonitor team performance via KPI's and OEEMaintain metal chemistry as per specificationTraining of new employees as requiredExperience of Disciplinaries and InvestigationsExperience in PDR's, PIP's and Absence managementPromote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirementsEXPERIENCE :EssentialProven Production team leader experienceExperience of problem solvingUse of 5S to improve production environmentProven melt and casting experienceGood working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.)Use of KPI's to track performanceDesirableExperience within castings sectorIOSH QualificationPersonal Attributes:Good problem solving skillsTeam player and promotes a team approach to problem solvingConfidence to challenge the status quoTarget drivenWork collaboratively to achieve project/company goalsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentGood communicator both written and verbalAbility to work under pressureOrganised and able to multi-taskProactive in approach with a "can do attitude"Valid Driving LicenceSelf-motivatedEligibility to work in the UKAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
