Job Description
Role Description 
The MEH Area Planner is accountable to the Area Lead Planner for MEH planning throughout the project lifecycle. This role focuses on producing planning outputs that ensure roadmap alignment, schedule accuracy and clear deliverables while securely managing Sensitive Nuclear Information.
Responsibilities- Drive an Integrated Planning framework integrated with Reporting and Interdependencies focused on alignment of top down/bottom up reporting from strategic levels, through Level1 to Level5.
- Develop and maintain the schedule baseline integrated work schedule (IWS) with fully logic linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and utilize effective techniques.
- Support the Area management organisation to ensure that significant risks/opportunities associated with the MEH scope of works are adequately assessed based on evidence and balanced judgement to underpin regular, timely and accurate information.
- Enable robust review, challenge of delivery & schedule level reporting that impacts overall project level strategic delivery.
- Produce timely updates of area Planning and Schedule reporting to key stakeholders on a defined reporting cycle.
- Drive and challenge strategies for Baseline Schedule project delivery sequence.
- Continuously develop the Planning team approach by capturing and sharing operational experience and learning.
- Analyze and assimilate information to identify key risks and make evidence based decisions to drive the Planning strategy using a pragmatic and systematic approach.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within and across organisational boundaries to achieve mutually successful outcomes in keeping with the HPC project values.
- Apply the Trend & Change process within the schedule, including analysis at project level, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
- Integrate the MEH scope of works within the HPC schedule and associated planning data.
- Ensure compliance with project scheduling standards and procedures.
- Mark and protect all project documents, especially Sensitive Nuclear Information, in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.
- Minimum of a degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or another related field.
- Demonstrable experience working within a Planning team for mechanical, electrical & HVAC works in a complex, highly regulated industry (ideally nuclear or energy).
- Experience of practical application of Integrated Planning frameworks and methodologies in the strategic and operational management of a major infrastructure project.
- Expertise in Planning and Project Controls technology solutions, managing the implementation and delivery of complex projects with these tools.
- Proven experience planning Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC works within highly regulated industries and complex projects.
