Meet Liz Roper, Software Developer on the MoveSpring Team. In 2020, Liz changed careers from accounting in Chicago to learn software engineering. Now based in London, MoveSpring became a Reward Gateway company.
Liz is part of MoveSpring's engineering team and is primarily a backend integrations developer.
Responsibilities- Work on behind-the-scenes backend work, including features that allow customers to issue points and create challenges for employees.
- Help implement a service to access better audit records of events on the platform.
The MoveSpring development team has historically hired career switchers or bootcamp grads; everyone works on multiple areas and is not pigeonholed by a single role. Liz's journey from accounting to development informs a learning-friendly, supportive environment.
When MoveSpring was acquired by Reward Gateway, the team remained autonomous and culture-driven, while gaining larger-scale resources and collaboration opportunities within RG.
From a small core team to a larger company, MoveSpring remains autonomous and product-focused, with ongoing collaboration with RG and opportunities to build relationships in person in London.
