Location: Newcastle (NE1 2JQ)
(Also supporting the rota across nearby sites as required.)
Fully Office based
Pay: £16.01 per hour
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client to join a Meet and Greet team providing calm, clear support to asylum customers attending substantive interviews.
What you'll be doing:- Help manage the flow of asylum customers attending substantive interviews between 08:00 and 17:30 (Monday to Friday)
- Deliver excellent, professional customer service while supporting people who may be vulnerable or facing language barriers
- Complete Atlas and safeguarding checks before interviews to help ensure customer support needs and security concerns are appropriately managed
- Respond to unforeseen incidents, including first aid situations, medical emergencies, building issues, and other operational disruptions
- Follow contingency instructions to minimise negative impacts on customers
- Work closely with colleagues, peers, and senior leaders to support continuous improvement and consistent service
- Liaise with Home Office Security and maintain strong working relationships
- Complete PST2 training (a physically demanding course); accommodation and transport for the 2-day course will be provided
- Strong interpersonal skills with confidence communicating clearly and professionally
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and stay composed in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- IT literacy to support your role
- A strong commitment to the Civil Service and Home Office values when engaging with customers and decision-makers
- Readiness to support other UK sites where suitable for the worker
- This is a 6-month assignment with potential extension, working 100% office-based, typically 08:00-16:00 or 09:30-17:30 on a rota basis
- No parking available at any site
- You'll start as soon as security clearance is approved, with on-the-job training provided (approximately 3 weeks, including e-learning and PST2)
- Candidates must hold an unrestricted right to work in the UK and have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) where applicable
- Candidates with more than 6 months spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years unfortunately are not eligible for CTC clearance.
