Are you an experienced Medical Secretary looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and patient-focused environment? We're working with a respected NHS service in North Wales to recruit a highly organised and proactive Medical Secretary to support a busy Health department! This is a key role within a multidisciplinary team, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on patient care and service delivery.
The RoleAs a senior member of the administration team, you'll provide a comprehensive, confidential, and high-quality secretarial service to consultants, junior doctors, specialist nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the department and supporting the wider clinical team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex patient pathways in line with protocols
- Coordinating appointments, admissions, and clinical correspondence
- Producing accurate reports and statistics to support service delivery
- Attending and contributing to meetings, including minute-taking
- Proven experience in a medical secretarial or senior administrative role within the NHS or healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient administration systems
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Immediate availability
Location & Working Pattern
- Based in North Wales
- easily commutable from Chester, Wrexham, and surrounding areas - Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid work may be considered following training and service needs. However, the expectation is on site.
