We are a very busy and friendly 12 doctor practice at The Gill Medical Centre in Walkden and we wish to recruit full time experienced medical receptionist/administrators.
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised and hard-working individuals to provide full reception and administration support for our practice.
Excellent verbal and written skills are an essential requirement, as well as computer literacy, a professional telephone manner and a flexible approach to work. Knowledge of a GP clinical system, especially EMIS, is advantageous although training will be given.
Main duties of the job- To provide a professional and effective reception service to our practice population to ensure complete satisfaction with patients practice experience
The Gill Medical Centre is a well-regarded, high performing practice and we are expanding rapidly with the intention of forming 2 smaller practices where continuity is key. We are a very busy practice and we all work hard together as a team.
Job responsibilities- Attending to the reception desk
- Making appointments
- Answering the telephone
- Dealing with the daily post
- Dealing with practice tasks and contacting patients as required
- Receiving samples from patients
- Filing
- Receiving visitors into the surgery
- Photocopying medical records for third parties
- Scanning hospital and patient letters into patient notes
- Assist with and minimise potential issues that may lead to complaints
- GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths
- Previous experience of dealing with public/patients both face to face and over telephone
- Experience of telephone operation
- Experience of working in a medical reception
- Experience of using a computer
- Experience of using office equipment
- Accurate filing skills
