Medical Receptionist and Administrator

As a GP SurgeryReceptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will be responsible for providing a professional, efficient, and courteous reception service, both in person and over the phone, while ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
Main duties of the job- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, directing them appropriately.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using our electronic booking system which is Emis.
- Handle patient enquiries and provide information about services.
- Process patient registrations and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the waiting area is welcoming and tidy.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Coordinate with medical staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
This role is for The Oaks Medical Centre and Blackwood Health Centre. We have 3 sites and over 60 staff members.
Job responsibilitiesReceive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Experience- EMIS knowledge
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
