Our ideal candidate will have previous Medical Reception experience, although full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position holder will need to be able to handle queries from patients, liaise with other healthcare providers as well as other Practice staff. We are therefore seeking an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsible for providing reception and administration support to the practice ensuring the office runs with a degree of accuracy and efficiency
About usWe are a well established forward thinking GMS practicecomprising 5 GP partners, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner Partner, 2 Emergency Care Pratitioner's, 3Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and a phlebotomist supported by an excellent reception/admin team.

SALARY: Depending on experience
PRACTICE: Zetland Medical Practice
LOCATION: Windy Hill Lane Marske and any other location requested by the practice
HOURS OF WORK: Part time and full time applications welcome as we are looking to recruit up to full time - days and times negotiable (30 min unpaid lunch and 2 x 15 min paid breaks) and staff may when appropriate beexpected to work outside those hours or at weekends if opening times at thepractice change. Additional hours of opening would mainly be at Windy HillLane, Marske but staff would be expected to work the hours allocated at anyother site associated with the practice.
JOB PURPOSE: To provide courteous and effectivereception/telephone/administration duties for the practice, ensuring an efficient and professional image is maintained at all times.
DIMENSIONS: Responsible for providing receptionsupport to the practice including administration support to ensure the office runs with a degree of accuracy and efficiency.
KEY AREAS: Greeting and signposting patients in a pleasant and efficient manner
Telephone - makingappointments, taking messages and answering queries.
Disseminating home visitrequirements.
Amend medication on computerfollowing GP instruction.
Arrange repeat prescriptionsfor GP signature.
Expertise and knowledge toliaise with the computer help line to resolve any breakdown thereby developinga good working knowledge of the system.
Keeping up to date oncomputer enhancement being able to receive in and distribute to GPs lab resultsfor acceptance
Photocopying
Scanning
Read coding, data input,searches
Smear administration
Registrations
Summarising
Ensure office policies andprocedures are followed at all times.
Any other duties asspecified by the Operations Manager/ Reception Manager.
Ensuring an efficient andprofessional image of the practice is maintained at all times.
Maintaining good relationswith a wide range of people.
Person Specification Experience- Experience of working in General Practice.
- Experience of using SystmOne Clinical System
