Medical Receptionist

We are a friendly GP surgery working over two sites in Worcester and we are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join our reception team across both Henwick Halt and Lyppard Grange Medical Centres.
Core hours of practice are 7.30am - 19.00pm across 5 days.
We are looking for a part time Medical Receptionist to work 23 hours per week, as below:
- Monday 13.00pm - 19.00pm
- Tuesday 8.00am - 16.00pm
- Thursday 8.00am - 13.30pm
All hours include a 30 minute unpaid break after 6 hours worked.
Main duties of the jobCandidates will need to have excellent communication skills and be computer literate. We are looking for someone who is confident in their ability, hardworking and someone who is eager to learn and shows initiative. Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be helpful, but is not essential.

We have a list size of approximately 21,983 patients in Worcester across two sites. We have a strong GP, ANP and nurse team supported by management, admin and reception.
Job responsibilities- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Arranging face-to-face/telephone appointment requests, visits/telephone consultations and directing callers to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Processing emails
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers
- Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required, including word/data processing, filing and photocopying
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
- English and Maths grade A to C
- Previous experience working in GP Practice
