Mechanical Services Design Engineer

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire - commutable from Daventry, Kettering, Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, Rugby, Market Harborough, Corby.

Salary: £45,000 £60,000 plus car allowance, bonus, benefits, 25 days leave.

Working hours: 38.5 hours per week - 8:30-5:00 Mon-Thurs (30 min lunch), 8:30-4:00 Friday (1 hour lunch). Some flexibility after 6 months.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a full time permanent position with a large and growing national business? The work focuses on design for a design and build, building services contractor, tackling a range of residential and commercial projects, including high rise and student accommodation, and hotels.

The company offers interesting and challenging projects, a highly experienced team to learn from, an excellent working culture and progression routes. The role involves the production of compliant Mechanical and public health services drawings for all stages of the projects, from tender to installation and commissioning.

The Role

1. Full time permanent position for a large national M&E building services company, working on complex residential and commercial projects.
2. Office based role working as part of a team.
3. Production of detailed and compliant Mechanical designs for all project stages through to BSRIA stage 6.

The Person

1. Academic and working background in building services engineering.
2. Significant experience of Mechanical design work, involving the full project lifecycle.
3. Professional understanding of the Building Safety Act and BSRIA stage 6.
4. UK driving licence.
