Mechanical Project Manager

Mechanical Project Manager M&E Location: Cork, Ireland Project: Major Engineering & Construction Project Salary: DOE + Benefits Type: Full Time Permanent We re working with an established engineering and construction business looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join its project delivery team in Cork. You ll take responsibility for the mechanical delivery of a major project in Cork, overseeing the project across engineering, procurement, construction, commercial management and programme through to completion. The position would suit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager or Contracts Manager who has progressed through mechanical engineering/project delivery and is comfortable taking ownership of sizeable M&E packages and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical project delivery from pre-construction through to handover Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resources Coordinate Engineering, BIM, QA, Procurement and construction teams Manage mechanical and process installations Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and procurement Monitor progress against programme and resolve delivery issues Manage project costs, forecasting, variations and commercial performance Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Identify and manage project risks Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and technical requirements Produce regular progress and commercial reports for senior management About You We re looking for someone with significant experience delivering mechanical projects for an M&E or Mechanical contractor. Ideally, you ll have: Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager or similar Strong Mechanical Building Services / M&E contracting experience Experience delivering sizeable commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, data centre or similar projects Knowledge of mechanical and process systems, including installation and commissioning Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams Strong programme, budget and commercial management capability Excellent client and subcontractor management skills Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant industry qualifications Full driving licence The Opportunity This is a senior project delivery position offering responsibility for a substantial M&E project in Cork and the opportunity to work within an established contractor with a strong pipeline of technically complex projects.
