Mechanical Project Manager

Your new companyA well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Northamptonshire is looking to strengthen its projects team with the appointment of a Mechanical Project Manager.The business delivers mechanical packages across a range of sectors including residential accommodation (apartment blocks), commercial offices, and healthcare projects, typically ranging in value from £100k to £3.5m. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an established service & maintenance arm, the company offers stability and continued growth.Projects are primarily based across the Midlands, although some travel beyond the region may be required depending on project location.Your new roleAs a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical projects, typically managing 2-3 projects concurrently.The role has a strong focus on project delivery, productivity, and health & safety, with less emphasis on commercial or budgetary responsibilities, allowing you to focus on operational excellence.Key duties include:Managing mechanical projects from pre-start through to completionCoordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliersEnsuring projects are delivered on time and to specificationMaintaining high standards of health & safety compliance on-siteDriving productivity and programme adherenceLiaising with clients, consultants, and internal teamsAttending site meetings and providing project updatesWhat you'll need to succeedExperience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within an M&E contractorStrong technical knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant)Experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyA strong focus on health & safety and operational deliveryExcellent organisational and communication skillsDesirable:SMSTS or relevant health & safety qualificationsExperience working across sectors such as residential, commercial, or healthcareWhat you'll get in returnCompetitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000Company car or car allowance25 days annual leave + bank holidaysFlexible working approachStable pipeline of Midlands-based projectsOpportunity to join a growing contractor with long-term career prospectsWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
