ABOUT THE ROLEDue to significant growth in our apprenticeships, we are looking for an Apprentice Skills & Development Coach for Mechanical to join our established apprenticeship team.
As an Apprentice Skills & Development Coach (on-site assessor) you will be responsible for a group of learners in your trade expertise area. Delivery will consist mainly of 1 to 1 meetings at the apprentices' workplace, working closely with the employers to develop the apprentices to achieve national accreditation.
You will undertake continuous assessment and observations to ensure the learners are progressing and reaching their full potential for sustaining employment. The assessors will work in collaboration with the college teaching team for the learners to attend their classes to build their knowledge and practical skills in a supportive environment.
It is essential that applicants possess relevant occupational qualifications and substantial work experience in the Mechanical sector.
The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, as well as Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at Level 2 or above. You will have recent and relevant experience working in the trade sector.
Ideally, you will possess assessor/verifier qualifications; however, this is not essential as full training and development can be provided.
