Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

A Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is required by CareerWise Recruitment to join our North Cork based food production client. This is an exciting opportunity join a well-established business as they go through an expansion phase.

ROLE

• Supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
• Organise, coordinate, and lead maintenance training and development activities for maintenance personnel.
• Prepare and manage shift schedules, work assignments, and labour allocation to meet operational requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate the procurement and control of maintenance tools, spare parts, consumables, and equipment.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to support problem-solving at both operational and strategic levels.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, procedures, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Trade qualification or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a supervisory maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, and plant machinery.
• Experience with maintenance planning and asset management systems preferred.
• Health & Safety training/certification desirable.
